Young people are now more conscious wine drinkers
A recent representative survey commissioned by the National Council of Wine Communities (HNT) showed a significant increase in occasional, experience-based wine consumption among 18-40 year olds.

According to the results, wine has become not only a gastronomic complement but also a conscious choice for younger generations. The proportion of wine drinkers in Generation Z has increased by 23% and in Generation Y by 8% compared to 2023. “The research reveals that younger generations are becoming wine drinkers earlier and are also more conscious in this area. This could give new impetus to domestic wineries”, explained Andrea Gulyás, communications director of HNT.
