The foreign trade balance is still in surplus
In March, the value of exports in euros was 7.5 percent and imports were 4.2 percent higher than a year earlier, while the export surplus fell by 343 million euros to 301 million euros – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Tuesday based on its second estimate.
At constant prices, exports fell by 5.6 percent and imports by 1.0 percent year-on-year.
The price level of foreign trade in goods measured in HUF increased by 4.8 percent in imports and by 6.4 percent in exports, compared to the same month of the previous year. The exchange rate improved by 1.5 percent, the KSH said. (MTI)
