The downturn of retail continues

The retail sales volume – adjusted from the calendar effects – in the first five months of this year – also in May – both decreased by 4.7 percent, compared to the same period of the last year – reports the Central Statistical Office.

According to the seasonally adjusted and calendar effects adjusted datas; sales volume of May decreased by 0.5 percent, compared to the datas of the previous month.
In the national retail and in the mail order retailing in the first five months of 2010 , 2768 billion HUF worth goods were distributed, of which 605 billion was realized in May.
