Growing gap between animal and vegetable product prices
In March 2016 the production price level of agricultural products increased by 2 percent if compared with the level of the same period one year earlier. Vegetable product prices augmented by 7.4 percent, but the production price of livestock and products of animal origin decreased by 7.1 percent if compared with March 2015. Cereal crops cost 0.4 percent less, potato’s price soared 45 percent and fruits became 25 percent more expensive.
