Imports increased further
In April, the value of exports in euro rose by 3.8 percent and imports by 7.0 percent year-on-year, the trade balance surplus was 245 million euros, which is 238 million less than in last April, according to the Central Statistical Office’s estimate published on Tuesday. (KSH).
The balance was 17 million euros higher than it was published in the first estimate issued on 7 June, when the KSH reported a slight increase of 3.6 percent in exports and a 7.0 percent increase in imports. Since June last year, the growth rate of exports has never reached its level of imports, which is explained by the sharp increase in consumption and investment. (MTI)
