The losses of the pig sector increases further due to the e-toll
The introduction of e-toll increases the costs of pig transportation by 20-30 percent, which will increase the sector's losses further, as the farmers are not able to pass it on the customers – Menczel Lászlóné, secretary of the Livestock and Meat Interprofessional Organization and Marketing Board (VHT) told MTI on Wednesday.
He added that the situation seems unsolvable, because the producers cannot validate the cost increases in their prices as well as the processors. Thus, the sector's cumulative losses will continue to grow. (MTI)
