Further easenings in Austria
All stores can open at our western neighbor on May 2nd. From May 4, education will also gradually resume, and from the middle of the month, restaurants and bars will also raise their blinds. The Austrian government was one of the first in Europe to ease quarantine – privatbankar.hu wrote.
Austria will continue to ease on quarantine and restrictions imposed in mid-March to combat the coronavirus.
Stores and schools open
One of the most far-reaching changes is that from this morning, all stores across the country can open.
Stores can accommodate more shoppers than before: they need to provide 10 square meter of “custom space” per customer instead of the previous twenty square meter. (The question is how and to what extent this will be controlled in practice – ed.) This regulation also applies to churches and open-air markets, according to local press reports.
