The Minister drew attention to the fact that our country is fundamentally renewing its agriculture and food industry, and in this process, Hungary is counting on the cooperation of the United States in terms of knowledge and technology. The government supports domestic investments with an intensity of 50% in the processing industry, animal husbandry, plants, storage facilities and irrigation development. Hungarian agriculture fits in perfectly with the technical background of the United States, which we must exploit even better. There are many segments in the processing industry and agricultural machinery industry where we can establish further cooperation – he added.
István Nagy also emphasized that the best investment is knowledge, which is why strengthening scientific and educational relations is of utmost importance
It is crucial for Hungarian youth to be able to participate in the overseas education system. In addition, there are further opportunities in the exchange of teachers and students, as we are connected in many areas, he added. He explained that in our constantly changing world, agriculture and the food industry play a key role. We must adapt to extreme weather, production conditions, technological needs and social expectations. Our task is to find appropriate answers to the questions that arise. In this situation, we must give farmers a vision of the future that makes it worthwhile to produce and produce safe food. The minister recommended to his negotiating partner the National Agricultural and Food Industry Exhibition and Fair, which will be held in September this year. Participating in the event also provides a great opportunity for the United States to showcase itself.
