Hungary-Macedonia business relations improve further
On 2 September the Hungarian National Trading House Zrt. (MNKH). organised a business forum where participants had the chance to conduct negotiations with members of Macedonia’s government. Macedonia is one of Hungary’s most important export partners and was the 15th most important target of Hungarian investors in 2012. In 2013 we exported to Macedonia in the value of EUR 114.2 million and our import was up 24 percent to EUR 6.5 million. In July 2014 MNKH opened a trading house in Skopje and since then Hungarian poultry meat and other food product export to Macedonia’s biggest retail chain has speeded up, plus we have also exported more medical equipment. At the moment we are preparing for the export of seeds and agricultural machinery, and the two countries are cooperating in developing poultry breeding technology, in mineral water production and in energy sector developments.
