The AutoWallis Group continues to strengthen its presence in Budapest
The AutoWallis Group opened its first Renault and Dacia dealership in the capital. The showroom and service point in Ferencváros, operated jointly with the Portuguese Salvador Caetano Group, supports the further growth of the dominant car trade and mobility service provider in the Central and Eastern European region. In parallel with its opening, the AutoWallis dealership will sell 200 new Renault Clio cars to autoWallis-owned wigo carsharing, taking advantage of the unique synergies provided by the Group.
The AutoWallis Group, which is present in 16 countries, continues to strengthen its position in the field of Hungarian motor vehicle retail after opening its first Renault and Dacia dealership in Budapest together with its Portuguese partner, the Salvador Caetano Group. The car dealership opened under the names Renault AutoWallis and Dacia AutoWallis is located in one of the most frequented districts of the capital, on Könyves Kálmán körút in Ferencváros. In addition to showrooms, the more than 2,000-square-meter trade and service center also houses a service center with 15 employees. The move corresponds to the strategic goal of AutoWallis, according to which, in addition to organic expansion and acquisitions, it also intends to grow further through business development, as well as take advantage of the unique synergy opportunities within the Group. A good example of this is that one of the first fleet sales of the just opened dealership is 200 new Renault Clio cars provided to wigo carsharing owned by the AutoWallis Group. The vehicles entering the wigo fleet were chosen by the car-sharing service provider in response to user needs in order to ensure the highest customer experience, because the new Clio models embody everything that wigo’s customers expect from a small city car. Clios with the wigo label will be available in Budapest in the wigo carsharing fleet from the end of October.
Péter Antal, head of the AutoWallis Retail Business, said: the opening of the new dealership is an important milestone in the Group’s activities in Hungary, as the new car market in Budapest has a greater growth potential for Dacia and Renault models compared to the rural market, and because about half of these vehicles are sold in the capital , and fleet purchases are also typically decided here. The sale to the self-owned car sharing company clearly demonstrates the success of AutoWallis’ objective, according to which the introduction of the wigo brand last year can provide many synergies between the members of the group. Accordingly, cooperation between AutoWallis’ business divisions further improves the company’s efficiency.
