Mészáros Group’s agricultural portfolio has further expanded

The acquisition of Gyulai Agrár Zrt., a leading player in Békés County agriculture with a 25-year history, has been successfully completed. Talentis Agro Zrt., a subsidiary of Mészáros Group, purchased the company from Good Farming Kft. as part of the transaction, thereby further strengthening its leading position in the domestic agricultural sector – Mészáros Group announced to MTI on Monday.

The Talentis Agro Group aims to become the largest producer of food and feed raw materials in Hungary. To this end, it is striving for an expansive, foreign and domestic presence. The group has a secure financial background and a clear strategic vision aimed at developments, and its goals include investments that will enable it to achieve further stable growth. This is further strengthened by the successful completion of the acquisition on September 17, 2025, as a result of which Gyulai Agrár Zrt., which primarily deals with dairy farming, animal husbandry and crop production, will now continue its operations under the auspices of the Talentis Agro Group. “Gyulai Agrár Zrt.’s activities to date and regional experience make it a good fit for the business portfolio of the market leader in agriculture, Talentis Agro Group. Utilizing the synergies within the Mészáros Group can ensure the stability, profitability, further development and preservation of jobs of the enterprise in the long term,” said owner Lőrinc Mészáros.

Thanks to the acquisition, the group of companies will further strengthen its agricultural activities in Békés County, and Gyulai Agrár Zrt. is ready to implement new investment projects with the help of the new owner with strong capital.

Gyulai Agrár Zrt. was founded in 2000, has 88 permanent employees, has the necessary equipment and service facilities for its activities, including a milking parlor, dryer and storage, farms more than 1,500 hectares of cultivated land, produces 8 million liters of milk per year with a herd of 800 dairy cattle. Its company profile also includes crop production, and the company produces most of the feed needed for animal husbandry itself. In addition, it provides agricultural services, within the framework of which it provides mechanical work, input material sales, drying plant services, crop purchase and storage to farms operating in its catchment area.
