Retail sales expanded further
According to both the raw and calendar effect adjusted data, retail sales grew by 6.5 percent in February – according to the first estimate published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Thursday.
The year-on-year increase in turnover was slightly slower than the 7.8 percent of January, but still exceeded last year’s average of 5.3 percent.
Growth in food and food mixed retail stores slowed to 3.8 percent from the 4.5 percent of the previous month, while the 8.5 percent increase in non-food retail stores was the most modest since last August. (MTI)
