The range and extent of employee benefits at Tesco continues to expand
On June 1, Tesco increased the cafeteria allowance for employees by 25 percent, investing an additional HUF 400 million in the benefits of colleagues. At the same time, the company further developed the employee support program that has been in operation for years and launched the Sapíthatsz ránz! platform that provides employees with psychological, legal, financial and healthy lifestyle consultation opportunities. Employees participating in the Work and Vacation program can support the work of their colleagues working in shops around Lake Balaton in two-week shifts and at the same time enjoy lakeside relaxation, for which Tesco provides them with accommodation and finances the trip.
Tesco supports the well-being of its employees in many ways throughout the year. These include, among others, the employee shopping discount, support for starting school in the fall, regularly provided fresh fruit, intimate hygiene products available for free in the washrooms for female colleagues, or Christmas shopping coupons.
“In order to support our colleagues even more in creating a work-life balance, as well as a financial and spiritual balance, we have introduced several measures that they can use as early as this summer. One of these is the elevated cafeteria valid from June 1, which instead of the previous gross amount of HUF 193,200 is uniformly HUF 241,500 gross. I am also proud to be renewed, you can count on us from July! to our employee helpline, which offers an even wider range of support than before: psychological, legal, financial and healthy lifestyle consultation can be requested in person, as well as via phone, video call and chat, and a lot of useful self-help content is available on an online platform.”
– said Norbert Túróczi, HR manager of Tesco Hungary.
