Ifo’s business sentiment index in Germany has risen to a historic peak
Ifo’s business sentiment index in Germany has risen to a historic peak in June, indicating that the euro area’s largest economy remained strong in the second half of the year.
According to the Institute’s Monday report, the business sentiment index rose to 115.1 from the 114.6 points of May. Analysts expected 114.4 points.
The sub-index of the index, which quantifies the current economic environment, rose to 124.1 points from the 123.3 points of the previous month. Analysts expected a slight increase of 123.3 points. (MTI)
