Gluttonous Thursday at the Lake Balaton

The self-organized Gluttonous Thursday will be held on the 15th of February, in 25 sttlements of the region and lasts for several days at some places – Győrffy Árpád main organizer Balatontipp.hu’s regional guide editor told at a press conference in Balatonalmádi.

For ten years, the Hungarian Tourism Zrt. has organized the Gluttonous Thursday at the national level, but the central organization has ceased to exist for two years. At Lake Balaton it is especially important to have a variety of attractions during the winter season, so this year 30 restaurants have joined the action. He believes that the initiative is more important in the resort area than elsewhere because the locals can offer their restaurants and wineries to their acquaintances and guests based on their own experiences.
