Tesco UK, is hiring tens of thousands of new workers
Tesco, the UK’s largest retailer announced on Tuesday that it has hired an additional 35,000 workers over the past 10 days to help meet the dramatically increased demand for food due to the coronavirus – origo wrote.
The supermarket group is the largest private sector employer in the country, with some 340,000 employees and close to 3,800 retail stores in the UK and Ireland.
New employees, including shippers, online shippers and drivers, are helping to fill the gap caused by workers who are absent due to illness or quarantine. (origo)
