The UNESCO evaluated the World Heritage status of Tokaj and Budapest
The World Heritage Committee of UNESCO evaluated 135 world heritage sites, including two locations in Hungary – notified the Office of Cultural Heritage (KÖH) to MTI on Friday.
According to the Office of Cultural Heritage (KÖH), the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO adopted the Hungarian Status Report in connection with Tokaj, also noted that the construction works of the large capacity straw-burning power plant in the outskirts of Szerencs were stopped and asked the Hungarian government to do everything to prevent the re-launching of the works – reports MTI.
