Laying hen breeding: three months left for the transition
The old cages of the farmers should be replaced in Hungary by the end of this year to meet the EU standards.
Gőgös Zoltán (MSZP) told to MTI, that in Hungary 551 plants are dealing with laying hens. Only 67 is in line with the EU standards. For the transition a fund of around 3 billion HUF is available with a 40 to 60 percent support level. He added that not all the plants are expected to be able to meet the requirements – reports MTI.
