Multidimensional experience: a new eco-classroom was built with the support of DS Smith
The third eco-classroom was handed over in four years courtesy of one of the world’s leading suppliers of sustainable packaging solutions, DS Smith. As a result of the activity that mobilized more than 100 volunteers again this year, a community space was created that enables the children, that the teachers can physically and mentally involve the students in the education on several levels, passing on the various knowledge in an extended way, with an experience-based approach . In addition, of course, the range of leisure activities is greatly expanded by the reinterpreted schoolyard, which aims, among other things, at more effective environmental education. The project was realized in Füzesabony with the cooperation of the BME Department of Residential Building Design and the local municipality.
A positive vision with positive effects

The company launched the initiative in 2020, this year helping the third institution, Füzesabonyi Teleki Blanka Primary School and AMI, with the creation of an alternative outdoor classroom. As in the case of the two previously built eco-classrooms, the DS Smith Charitable Foundation provided a financial basis for the birth of the eco-space, nearly 10,000 pounds this year. The implementation was also supported by the local government. More than 100 volunteers participated in the construction work.
