Tens of thousands hectares are affected by the frost and water inland damages

According to the survey of the Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture; thousands of hectares of rape, apples, pears, grapes and wheat were damaged by frost.

Water inland damaged nearly 50 thousand hectares of wheat and rape, other agricultural land vegetation damaged on 80 thousand hectares.
The experts of the Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture conducted a survey across the country, estimating the area damaged by inland water, is up to 130-140 thousand hectares. The biggest problem is in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county, where the affected agricultural area is 47 thousand hectares, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county, with 25 thousand hectares of agricultural area under water – reports szabadfold.hu.
