More than a hundred thousand birds were killed due to bird flu in Füzesgyarmat
The elimination of more than a hundred thousand duck stock is completed at the poultry farm in Füzesgyarmat, where the bird flu virus turned up last week. The detected H5N8 virus has not been found to have spread to humans.
Bognár Lajos national chief veterinarian, the Deputy Minister of State of the Ministry of told MTI that another disease has not occurred in Füzesgyarmat or its viccinity. The elimination of more than a hundred thousand ducks at the four sites of the Füzes-Kacsa Kft. ended during the weekend. He added that this week, cleaningy and disinfection works are taking place at the site. (MTI)
