More than half a billion HUF worth smuggled cigarettes were found by the staff of NAV
More than half a billion HUF worth, presumably smuggled cigarettes were seized by the staff of the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) in Nyíregyháza and in Váncsod, Hajdú-Bihar County – Jánvári-Stefán Regina NAV’s press officer told MTI on Tuesday.
Jánvári-Stefán Regina captain told that the finance officers found the large amount of cigarettes without tax stamps in the scope of the so-called oil baron inspection. The investigators visited a Nyíregyháza-based warehouse, due to the the strong smell of tobacco. A truck was parking there full of cigarettes. In addition 24 kilograms of cut tobacco was also found.
