The tax authority withdrew untaxed tobacco products from the black market in a value of 1 billion HUF this year
It is novelty that the authority this year also found an unauthorized tobacco farm. The rate of cigarette smuggling has not increased over the past period, but there have always been examples of some illegal goods were hidden in reconstructed cars.
The financial investigators and financial officers of the National Tax Authority (NAV) found illegal tobacco products in more than ten thousand cases in the first seven months of the year. During the various inspections and actions, about twenty million cigarettes and more than seven tonnes of tobacco products were seized by the authorities. The total value is up to one billion HUF.
