Investor confidence in the euro area has improved to a more than one-year high

The Sentix Economic Research Institute’s eurozone investor confidence index rose better than expected in March, reaching its highest level since February last year.

Sentix’s investor confidence index rose to plus 5 points in March from minus 0.2 points in February. Experts expected a less improving indicator, plus 1.9 points, for March.

Both components of the index, the current investor environment and the outlook, have also improved. The indicator quantifying the assessment of the current investor environment rose to minus 19.3 points from minus 27.5 points in February, and the assessment of the outlook rose to 32.5 points from 31.5 points.
