Romanian retail sales increased by more than 8 percent
The Romanian retail sales increased by 8.6 percent in the first half of this year – according to the unadjusted values, compared to the same period of the last year – the Romanian National Institute of Statistics announced on Monday.
According to the adjusted value, the growth was 8.2 percent in the period. The expansion of retail sales are due primarily to the sales of non-food products. Their sales grew by 12.6 percent. The sales of foods, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 7.7 percent, while fuel sales increased by 2.7 percent. (MTI)
