More than 600 restaurants have joined to the Gluttonous Thursday
The Year of Gastro Experiences 2016 program series of the Hungarian National Tourist Office started with the Gluttonous Thursday culinary action. This year more than 600 restaurants have joined to the Gluttonous Thursday – the representatives of the organizers announced at a press conference in Budapest on Thursday.
Ruszinkó Ádám, Deputy Minister of State of the Ministry of National Economy (NGM) has pointed out that the Hungarian Tourism closed a record year in 2015, surpassing all expectations. More than 10 million guests spent 25.6 million nights in Hungary. Revenues from commercial accommodations reached 368 billion HUF, the number of guests increased by 7.4 percent, while the number of guest nights increased by 5.4 percent. The revenues grew by more than 10 percent. The expansion of the turnover in catering was 11 percent – he added. (MTI)
