SPAR continuously strives to ensure that its stores provide comfortable shopping conditions, and through continuous modernization, it also emphasizes the environmentally friendly, energy-saving operation of the stores. This was no different when renovating the INTERSPAR store on Balatoni út in Székesfehérvár.

“Environmental awareness is an important aspect when modernizing our stores. That is why we try to renovate and transform the furniture and equipment that can still be used and rebuild it into the renewed environment. This is what we did during the more than 1.2 billion forint renovation of our hypermarket on Balatoni út in Székesfehérvár”

– said Márk Maczelka, Head of Communications at SPAR Hungary.

The sales area has been equipped with modern refrigerated cabinets, and many structural elements have been revived from previously used materials. The size of the sales area has not changed, but its new layout allows for more comfortable and more transparent shopping. The first part of the store, near the entrance, houses the vegetable department, the bakery department offering locally baked breads, rolls, and pastries, and this space also houses the convenience products unit. Moving further into the store, the delicatessen and meat counters, as well as the refrigerators offering packaged fresh delicatessen and meat products, welcome customers, offering a convenient choice between the fresh counter and pre-packaged fresh meat products that are quickly available without waiting. From here, the path leads to the checkout line by touching the beverage department, then the dairy and frozen products, and finally the non-food department.

The sales area of the modern store, which employs 81 employees, has been equipped with LED lighting, and a carbon dioxide-based, heat recovery refrigeration system has also been installed. In addition, refrigerators with doors also help to save energy.
