Tourism developments in Fejér will cost more than 1.2 billion forints
The Fejér County Government is implementing tourism developments in the Danube-side part of the county and in the Bakony-Vértes region with a total of more than 1.2 billion forints with two successful European Union applications – the municipality announced on Wednesday.
According to the announcement, both projects are being implemented with funds obtained under the Regional and Settlement Development Operative Program Plus.
A network of safe and easily accessible water tour stops will be created on the Fejér County section of the Danube River with a non-refundable grant of 607.35 million forints, connecting the point-by-point developments carried out in previous periods.
The bridge pillar ruin that previously posed a danger to hikers under the bridge leading to Nagy-sziget in Rácalmás will be removed, the 9.5-kilometer-long nature trail on Nagy-sziget in Rácalmás will be renewed, and a nationally unique water nature trail with six stops and a new water tour route will be created around the island.
The existing water base in Ercsi will be expanded with a bicycle rest area. In Adony, a popular hiking spot on Nagy-sziget, a five-kilometer-long nature trail with a snowdrop theme will be created; in addition, a covered bicycle rest area, a water landing area, a parking lot and a restroom, as well as a thematic playground will be built.
A covered bicycle rest area will be established at the cellar row in Adony, a bicycle information board will be installed at Győry Castle in Perkáta, while a water landing area and a covered rest area will be built in Kulcs.
In the Bakony-Vértes region, a gap-filling active tourism network development of 603.82 million is planned.
