Coop Sweden to offer more locally grown tomatoes
Coop Sweden plans to increase the proportion of Swedish-grown tomatoes in its store offerings from this summer, so it will source its produce from a new greenhouse in Frövi, developed by Swedish company WA3RM. The greenhouse project, realised in collaboration with the Swedish Growers’ Association, will account for one tenth of Sweden’s annual tomato consumption, and the 10ha greenhouse will produce 8,000 tonnes of tomatoes per year
