More resources will be allocated to the development of beekeeping
In the following years, an annual 4.7 million euros, 20 percent more subsidy will be allocated to the development of beekeeping, especially to develop the technology and to modernize the equipments – the parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture, said on Tuesday in Dunavarsány, at a ceremony held on the occasion of the handover of the new product line of a family business.
Nagy István told that wit the annual domestic production of approximately 20 thousand tons of honey Hungary is one of Europe's leaders in honey production. Approximately 40 percent of the honey trade of the EU comes from Hungary. Due to its guaranteed good quality, the Hungarian honey has agreat demand in foreign markets, and the value of the domestic honey is also increases, because it is GMO-free – he added. (MTI)
