Low-quality food distributors may be sentenced to several years in prison
Those who will distribute low-quality, unhealthy or false food will risk even several years of sentence from January 1 next year – when the new Criminal Code will enter into force – said Selmeczi Gabriella, Fidesz spokesperson, Member of Parliament on Friday, at the farmers' market in front of the Ministry of Rural Development.
Selmeczi Gabriella (Fidesz), and Tarnai Richárd (KDNP) jointly submitted the amendment to the Criminal Code, which aims to punish those who commit abuses with harmful public consumer goods, or distribute poor quality products, or falsely certifying the quality. (MTI)
