Several benefits pointed out in the campaign
In this campaign, CECED intends to point out how much more energy is consumed by older household machinery compared to modern and efficient models. It is also emphasised that retailers remove and dispose of older machines free of charge when a new one is purchased from them. In their 2007 campaign, they have 3 programs. They are looking for the oldest household appliance in Hungary. They also have a drawing competition for children focused on the topic of using less energy. The third offers a financial benefit, as consumers purchasing a category A, A+ or A++ washing machine during the campaign, and returning their old machine to the retailer will receive financial compensation.
