Aldi’s revenue in the United Kingdom and Ireland was over 10 billion pounds last year
In 2017 Aldi’s revenue in the United Kingdom and Ireland surpassed the 10 billion (nearly 3700 billion forints) revenue – Origo wrote. The German-backed retail chain announced major expansion plans for the next two years – Independent reports.
In addition to revenue growth, the company’s profits increased by 29 percent to 417 million pounds last year.
The chain also reported that the number of its customers had grown significantly, from 1.1 million to 15.8 million, which raised Aldi’s market share to 7.6 percent. (origo)
