You can taste the gamays of fifteen wine regions in Budapest
More than a hundred wines of fifty producers of fifteen wine regions can be tasted by the visitors at the April Gamay Grand Tasting organized by Winelovers on Saturday in Budapest.
Gamay is the most popular and widely used blue grape variety in Hungary: it is grown on almost 8000 hectares all over the country, representing about 12-13 percent of the Hungarian vineyards. Wines made of gamay fascinate consumers in the first place with their fruitiness and style diversity, while the winemakers emphasize the reliability and versatility of the variety – the organizers highlighted in their communication sent to MTI.
