Police discovered 250 online scams in eleven days
The Hungarian police took part in an international campaign focusing on online product purchases last fall, which revealed 250 online scams worth 41.5 million forints in eleven days, the National Police Headquarters (ORFK) announced on Tuesday at www.police.hu.
It was reported that the action, coordinated by the law enforcement authorities of 19 countries, was coordinated by Europol’s European Cybercrime Centre.
On International level police has identified 6,500 fraudulent transactions worth more than five million euros (more than one and a half billion forints). (MTI)
