Not the strike, but the dialogue serves the interests of the staff and the buyers
Tesco was disappointed that trade unions chose the strike option, but still want to continue the dialogue.
The company is committed to moving on with wage growth this year, which means that almost every full-time warehouse and warehouse worker can bring 18.9 percent higher salary home than at the beginning of the year. The strike was timed for a weekend when 4-5 thousand employees and their families are on Tesco’s traditional family and sports day. Tesco will do its best to retain its usual business schedule.
