Tesco lowers the sugar content of its soft drinks
Tesco has significantly reduced the sugar content of its 42 private label soft drinks: from October Tesco stores only sell soft drinks with maximum 5g sugar per 100ml. Thanks to this step, the retailer’s soft drink range in Central Europe is made using 4,100 tons less sugar in a year; the calorie content of these products decreased by 24 percent – informed Jamie Walker, Tesco’s product director in Europe. //
