Tesco: together we are able to do more against food waste
On 7 June this year, Tesco held its conference focusing on the fight against food waste with the participation of non-governmental organizations, companies, governmental organizations and the media.
The event was hosted in Warsaw, and the participants sought to find ways to reduce the amount of food waste through co-operation and effective partnerships – with the joint commitment of producers, traders and buyers.
At the conference, experts, including Cseh Balázs, the president of the Hungarian Food Banking Association, tried to identify the sources of the food to be thrown away and to develop a common solution for the future.
