Without a terminal, Hungarian merchants can also accept card payments by smartphone
The service available on the Android phone was made available by Mastercard’s Doppio program and Fizetési Pont’s SoftPos development. To use SoftPos, you need a smartphone with an NFC chip in addition to registration. The use of the service also involves a non-refundable state subsidy of 80,000 HUF. Szász Ferenc, Mastercard’s director of business development, said in a statement that SoftPos eliminates the need to purchase other tools to receive payments. (MTI)
