A foil tent heated with thermal water was built in Mezőkovácsháza
A foil tent heated with thermal water was built at the Mezőkovácsháza in Békés county with the support received from the economic revitalization program of the Ministry of the Interior, the municipality announced.
The project was implemented with an initial grant of 200 million forints, then – in two rounds – with additional grants of 68 million and 10 million from the local government’s own resources, they wrote. A six-thousand-square-meter foil tent with an automatic ventilation, humidification and irrigation system, controlled by a computer with plant protection and nutrient supply, was built from the source. The tent is heated with geothermal energy, and the thermal water comes via a 600-meter-long, heat-insulated pipe system.
As a result of the investment, they will be able to carry out gardening activities in the foil all year round, where, according to the plans, eight people will be employed.
In the town of around 5,600 enthusiasts, thermal water is also certified as medicinal water, and a study and visualization plan for the development of the spa and a hotel, as well as a feasibility study, have been prepared, and a study plan for the use of thermal water for heating purposes is also being prepared – the municipality announced.
