Paprika Revue House opened full of flavor, rhythm and tradition
A new cultural and gastronomic highlight has opened in downtown Budapest: on September 1, the Paprika Revue House, Central Europe’s first and only folklore revue, welcomed its first guests. Located at the intersection of Dob and Síp streets, this unique Dinner & Show combines fine dining, dynamic stage performance, and a once-in-a-lifetime cultural journey.
During the nearly three-hour evening, guests can follow the story of a mischievous Hungarian shepherd while music, dance, humor, and gastronomy intertwine. The performance ranges from vibrant csárdás to fiery modern dance scenes, enriched with authentic motifs and contemporary visuals. The dinner menu offers the essence of Hungarian cuisine in a creative, premium presentation.
International-level creative team
The production was staged by Tímea Papp, Imre Zoltán Award-winning director. The visual world and costumes are the creations of Hajnalka Bognár, Mátyás Demkó, Albert Hernicz, Bálint Bariber, János “Madár” Madarász, and Attila Nemes. Their coordinated work elevates Paprika Revue House to the ranks of world-class shows.
A gastro-complex in the heart of downtown
Paprika Revue House is part of the joint vision of Semsei Gastronomy and the Stifler Group: a three-unit gastro-complex – BudaPest Bites lángos bar, Puli & Juhász downtown csárda, and Paprika Revue House – all evoking the rural Hungarian lifestyle, with quality ingredients and genuine hospitality at their core.
“Together with creative director Tímea Papp, we dreamed of a truly heartfelt Hungarian experience in a contemporary form – blending the energy of dance, the rhythm of music, the richness of flavors, and authentic Hungarian hospitality into a single evening. We want our guests to leave not only with memories of a wonderful night, but with a piece of Hungary itself,” said Rudolf Semsei, one of the founders of Paprika Revue House.
Tickets now available
From September 5, Paprika Revue House officially opens its doors to the public. Online ticket booking for upcoming performances is already available on the revue’s website, allowing guests to secure their places in advance for this unique cultural and gastronomic experience.
