Milk Day: 41 percent of the Hungarians consumes milk daily
Milk is one of the most important basic food of mankind. 44 percent of the world's population consumes milk on a daily basis. The International Milk Assiciation and the United Nations celebrate milk with a world day since 1957.
Hungarians consume an annual 68.9 liters. This means that the Hungarians drink only less than 2 deciliters of milk every day. Experts propose a half liter daily consumption.
According to the statistics of Tetra Pak Hungária; Hungary’s per capita milk consumption preceding China's calculative (19 l / person) or Bulgaria (22.6 l / person), France (57, 2 l / person), Austria (56.7 l / person) and the Netherlands (54.2 l / person). Irieland has the largest milk consumption in Europe (130 l / person) followed by Finland (129 l / person).
