Milk Marketing Board: the price of raw milk is rising
The basic and raw price of the domestic raw milk increased by 2.5 percent in August. The Milk Marketing Board Interprofessional Organization expects a more than 85 HUF per kilogram raw milk price for the end of the quota year from November to March.
The interbranch organization told MTI on Friday that the Hungarian average price is still low, at 25th place in August, when Hungarian dairy farmers received an average of 70 HUF for a kilogramme of raw milk, while in Slovakia 8 HUF more, in Austria 24 HUF more and in Romania 4 HUF more was paid to the farmers.
