The price of poultry products may increase by 10 percent in the spring

According to the informations of the Magyar Hírlap, an annual 40-50 million chickens are slaughtered illegally in Hungary. In March a 10 percent increase may occur in the price of poultry products.

“Feed prices are very high, so a 10 percent average price increase will be necessary. It may be already realized even in  March. If the price of poultry would not be increased the chicken and turkey breeders would need to close their plants and a part of the processors would be in trouble as well”- Csorbai Attila president of the Hungarian Poultry Product Council told Magyar Hírlap.
