Retail sales in the Czech Republic declined moderately last year
Year-on-year, retail sales in the Czech Republic fell 0.9 percent year-over-year. Calendar effect adjusted, it fell 0.6 percent – the Czech Statistical Office reported in Prague on Friday.
According to statisticians, this is the first year-on-year decline since 2012. Market observers believe that given last year’s situation, particularly the coronavirus pandemic, the decline in retail sales is not dramatic, acceptable, and its magnitude is more positive. (MTI)
