Romanian retail sales grew by 8.9 percent last year
Romanian retail sales volume grew by 8.9 percent last year , compared to the previous year – the Romanian national statistical institute announced on Wednesday.
The increase is mainly due to the 19.1 percent increase in the sales of food, beverages and tobacco products. Fuel sales increased by 5.8 percent, while non-food products by 2.8 percent. In December, the retail sales volume was 15.5 percent higher than a year before. (MTI)
