Last year, the Romanian beer market grew by 3 percent
Last year, the Romanian beer market grew by 3 percent. The population consumed 16.6 million hectoliters of beer – the Romanian Association of Beer Manufacturers announced.
This means 85 liters of beer per person a year. The majority of consumers (45 percent) preferred drinks sold in plastic bottles, followed by bottled beer by 28 percent and canned beer by 20 percent. Compared to the previous year, there was a slight increase in the sales of bottled and canned beer, and a slight decline was recorded in plastic bottles. (MTI)
