Pork may become more expensive over time
African swine fever could lead to a steady rise in pork prices in the next 4-5 years – penzcentrum.hu quotes Fórián Zoltán, a leading agricultural expert of the Erste Agricultural Competence Center. The Hungarian pork export market is shifting towards Romania.
African swine fever has become a lasting effect in the meat market and has a clear regional and global impact – Fórián Zoltán told InfoRadio. Fortunately, in Hungary, the disease was found only in wild animals, while in other countries such as in Romania, domestic swine stocks are also seriously affected by swine fever. (penzcentrum.hu)
