Talks with the representatives of Artisjus
Just like in recent years, in July Artisjus, the Hungarian Bureau for the Protection of Authors’ Rights invited the representatives of bars, restaurants, hotels and basically every music user to learn about the changes in the hospitality sector and listen to their comments about the current system of music use.
The Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI) was present at the professional forum as well. Artisjus head of department Dr Mária Filák informed those present that they don’t plan to increase music use rates. MVI’s representatives talked about the results of the guild’s research on how the system works in Ireland, the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Based on these, MVI proposed the introduction of preferential rates for trade organisation members. //
