The Takarékbank raised its GDP growth forecast to 4.5 percent this year
Partly due to the projected effects and partly due to the further improving outlooks for the economy, the growth rate of the Hungarian economy may continue to accelerate this year, so the Takarékbank’s analyst team is expecting a 4.5 percent growth in GDP in 2018, compared with the 4.2 percent forecasted three months ago – Suppan Gergely, analyst of Takarékbank told on Wednesday at a press conference in Budapest.
He explained that domestic wages are rising significantly, while the boosting domestic demand will not endanger equilibrium processes. This year, household consumption will grow by 5 percent. (MTI)
